70th Anniversary

This week's trivia answer:

The city of Fairfield, Iowa, would mark the beginning of municipal electric utilities as we know them by lighting up six 2,000-candle-power arc lamps at almost the same time as Thomas Edison turned the switch in New York in September 1882.

Be sure to RSVP for our 70th Anniversary Open House. Also, let us know how many 70th Anniversary Commemorative Magazines that you would like sent to your organization if you're not planning to attend the open house when the magazines will first be available.

The Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19th from 2 - 6 p.m. at the IAMU Office and Training Complex (1735 NE 70th Ave., Ankeny, Iowa 50021)
